![]() ![]() As for Kichwa Tembo, the grounds are beautiful, the accommodation comfortable and the safari drives were out of this world. I cannot tell you how happy we were with the lodge this year during our safari. We felt fortunate to be able to charge up in the room! This place is amazing and you should go there! The meals at the lodge were excellent and plentiful. Around the tents are families of warthogs (pumba in the Lion King movie) with babies just eating the grass around you is so much fun they have a great character and there were lots of other animals just sitting out on the grass. The meals were wonderful and the staff was so friendly and accommodating ! Our visit to East Africa was unforgettable. Bateleur was the first safari camp we have experienced and it did not disappoint. We would recommend her to everyone and she made our game drives stunning. Seeing all these animals was amazingbut seeing them all in the beauty of the Mara landscape took it to a different level. There are three pairs of 'family' tents that share a connecting passageway for maximum privacy and security, and two of these also have private outdoor areas.
